Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to start the course on the Monday morning?
No. The course is very flexible. You could start on any day of the week. You do however have to complete the course within seven days from the start date. If you experience any issues during these seven days which prevents you from completing the course, let us know via training@taketime.org.uk and we will try to move you to a later course.
I may need extra support if I enrol on this course. Will that be a problem?
We have tried to make this course accessible to everyone but if you have any concerns about any aspect of your learning experience, please get in touch via training@taketime.org.uk and we will try to help.
Do I have to complete the course in one go?
No, not unless you want to. The course will save your progress and responses automatically and you can stop and start as you wish. You could, for example, do one hour every night
or three hours one day and three hours a few days later.
Does it matter what time of the day I work on the course?
No. The course is available 24/7 so you can work on it whenever suits you. You may not get a response immediately after you post a question in one of the discussion forums but by the time you look next time, you should have received a reply.
Will I be working in isolation?
You will be working with other students on the same course but at your own pace. There are four discussion forums in the course where you can interact with other students and your tutors if you wish but there is no synchronous participation.
Is the whole of the course online?
In Module 4 we ask that you practice your meditation delivery to someone. This could be someone in your household or someone from the course and it can be done face to face or online via an application such as Zoom or Facetime. You might want to organise this before the course starts.
Can a number of people from my church sign up together?
If you are looking to train a number of people from the same church or Christian organisation at the same time, email us at training@taketime.org.uk and we can look at scheduling a separate, closed course.
What web browser should I use?
The TheologyX platform works best with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
