About This Course

This course is intended to make competent teachers of morality and theology derived from New Testament books.


The course aims at giving profound knowledge of the teaching of some New Testament books to students in order to enable them to apply some of the insights into the contemporary situation.

Course Objectives

  1. To help students gain knowledge and appreciation of the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus.
  2. To examine the emergence and development of the Earliest Christian community.
  3. To highlight the role played by Paul in the development of the Early Church.
  4. To examine the development of the Christian community in the post 70 era, leading to the emergence of Early Catholicism.
  5. To examine the characteristics of some Catholic literature.
